Dr. Pearce is a Calgary native who completed his undergraduate training at the University of Calgary and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California School of Optometry. He completed internships in family vision care, hospital-based optometry, laser refractive care and low-vision rehabilitation. He takes part in annual volunteer trips to provide eye care and glasses in third-world countries.
In his personal time he enjoys hiking, skiing, golf, hockey and spending time with his wife and three children, Zachary, Alexandra and Aiden.
Dr. Brenda Mummery has been a trusted member of the Signal Hill Eye Care team since 2002. A Dean’s List graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, she grew up in Prince George, B.C. and knew she wanted to be an optometrist when she was 14. After completing a student internship in Calgary, she chose to make the city home, drawn by its vibrant community and active lifestyle. Dr. Mummery offers comprehensive primary eye care and enjoys building lasting relationships with patients of all ages. She takes great pride in supporting the vision and health of senior patients and also has a special interest in pediatric eye care. Outside the clinic, she enjoys Calgary’s outdoor lifestyle with her husband, Calvin, and her son, Devin.
Dr. Theola Li was born in Hong Kong, raised in Ontario, and knew she wanted to be an optometrist by age 12. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honours at the University of Waterloo, including clinical rotations in Ecuador, Baltimore, and Calgary, where she gained experience in ocular disease, vision therapy, and community care. After falling in love with Calgary during her training, she moved here in 2015 and has been caring for Calgarians’ eyes ever since.
Dr. Li is passionate about educating patients and staying current with new technologies to support lifelong eye health. Outside the clinic, she enjoys cooking new recipes, exploring the Rockies, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Manpreet Sahota is a Dean’s Honours graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science. Her deep passion for vision care has guided every step of her journey, from leading as President of the National Optometric Student Association to participating in an eye care mission trip to the Philippines. Dr. Sahota is thrilled to return to her hometown to serve the community she loves, with a special interest in advanced dry eye therapy, myopia control, and specialty contact lenses. She is deeply committed to helping patients protect and enhance their vision at every stage of life.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking in the mountains, reading, and discovering new coffee shops around the city.
