DR. THEOLA LI
Dr. Theola Li was born in Hong Kong and raised in Ontario. She wanted to become an optometrist at age 12 and pursued her dream at the University of Waterloo.
During her schooling, Dr. Li had the opportunity to provide vision care in Ecuador where eye examinations and vision solutions are not as easily accessible. In her last year of training, she completed a four-month ocular disease course in Baltimore where she diagnosed and managed many common and rare eye diseases in a tertiary care facility. She also did a vision therapy placement in Calgary and fell in love with the lifestyle the city offers. Dr. Li graduated from the University of Waterloo Doctor of Optometry program with Honours.
Dr. Li moved to Calgary in 2015 and has been taking care of Calgarians’ eyes since then. She believes that eye health and ultimately, vision, is one of the most important gifts we have. It is her passion to teach people about their eyes and how to protect them for a lifetime. Dr. Li strives to stay up-to-date with current technologies and theories in order to provide the best eye care for her patients.
When Dr. Li is not in the clinic, you will find her trying out new recipes, exploring the Rockies and enjoying family time with her husband and two kids.
